DAY 1: Arrival in Frankfurt

Arrival at Frankfurt airport. Meeting with driver and tour escort. The coach will transfer to your hotel in Ruedesheim area. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 2: Ruedesheim Area - Ruedesheim – Sankt Goarshausen – Würzburg

Morning departure to Ruedesheim which is picturesquely situated on the slopes of the Rhine Valley. Ruedesheim is one of the most scenic wine towns along the Rhine and its history dates back to Roman times, as do most of the cities along the Rhine. Enjoy a Rhine River cruise to the Loreley – a 132 m high slate cliff in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, part of the Unesco World Heritage Site, near the town of St Goarshausen. You pass the eastern shore of the Rhine, which is also known as the Rhine Gorge. The 65 km stretch of the Middle Rhine Valley, with its castles, historic towns, and vineyards, graphically illustrates the long history of human involvement with a dramatic and varied natural landscape. It is intimately associated with history and legend and for centuries has exercised a powerful influence on writers, artists, composers, and musicians. Free time to wander through charming St Goarshaisen. Afternoon departure via the Spessaft to Wuerzburg. Check-in at your hotel. Dinner and Accommodation.

DAY 3: Würzburg – Augsburg – Garmisch Partenkirchen

Morning departure along the famous “Romantic Road” – a trade route during the middle ages. Germany’s Romantic Road still retains much of its medieval character. The road often winds through forgotten sections of the countryside, connecting walled towns and picturesque villages. Lunch stop in Augsburg – the oldest city in Bavaria and the second oldest German town. A Renaissance city you must see. Your guided sightseeing reveals the city where Luther and his followers proclaimed their beliefs. Continue to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, situated on the foot of Germany’s highest mountain, the “ Zugspitze”. Check-in at your hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 4: Hohenschwangau – Ettal – Oberammergau

Scenic drive to Hohenschwangau and the fairytale castle of King Ludwig II, Neuschwanstein, which you will visit in the morning. Continue to Linderhof Castle in Ettal, one of the most impressive castles in Germany. In the afternoon you will arrive in Oberammergau – home of the world-famous Passion Play and well known for its woodcarving tradition. After a short stop at the Basilica of Ettal Abbey, a magnificent example of Southern Bavarian baroque style art and architecture you drive back to your hotel in Garmisch. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 5: Lindau – Lake Titisee – Black Forest

A leisurely drive along the panoramic German Alpine Road to the sunny northern shore of Lake Constance, Europe’s largest freshwater reservoir and famous for its beautiful landscape. Stop for a lunch break on charming Landau. Then, continue north and visit the immaculate Bureau Church on the shores of Lake Constance, in Europe. Finally, arrive in the hills of the Black Forest and stop at Lake Titisee, famous for its cuckoo clocks. Check-in at your hotel in the Black Forest area. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 6: Strasbourg

After breakfast you will set off for a day trip to France and visit Strasbourg – home to a magnificent, single-spired Gothic Cathedral, Notre Dame, and beautiful half-timbered houses; it is also the seat if the European Parliament. Your guided city tour includes a visit of the cathedral, Petite France, the picturesque old quarter with timber frame houses adorned with flower boxes. Ample time to do some shopping and stroll through the old town. A late afternoon return journey to your hotel in the Black Forest area. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 7: Heidelberg – Frankfurt

Morning drive to Heidelberg, set on the banks of the River Neckar. Heidelberg is home to Germany’s oldest university and is forever immortalized by Sigmund Romberg’s operetta, “The Student Prince”. Enjoy a guided tour of the red-walled Heidelberg Castle and the castle’s courtyard. The 49,000 gallon 18th-century wine cask attracts particular attention. Continue your tour in downtown Heidelberg and through Old Town where you’ll see the town’s late-Gothic Church. Free time to walk along one of Germany’s longest pedestrian streets. Later on, continue to Frankfurt and check-in at your hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 8: Departure from Frankfurt

Breakfast and coach transfer to Frankfurt airport.
